My most unforgettable vacation

 My Most Unforgettable Vacation

My most unforgettable vacation was when I visited Quezon Province with my mother, aunt, and my cousin. We stayed there for a few days and had alot of memories we made together. My family doesn’t go on vacations often — so this is a very memorable experience for all of us. These small moments meant the world for me, I cherish them the most and will always hold them closest to my heart.

As I mentioned, my family doesn’t go on vacations quite often — even then, when we do, all of them are extremely nostaglic and unforgettable in their own ways. But this vacation truly sticks out to me. Me and my family stayed at a hotel and watched TV, when me and my cousin got bored laying around all day, we went outside to visit the convenience stores and bought all the unique snacks we’ve never tried before.

One particular product stuck out for the both of us — though I did forget the brand name, unfortunately, may I add. It was  a powdered Matcha product that dissolved once into contact with water; hot water specifically. Me, my cousin, and my mom drank it almost everyday and night for the remainder of our stay in Quezon Province. It was never really that good for me — of course opinions are different for everyone but in all honestly i’m not that quite of a matcha fan. But in this case, I still drank it for the sake of memories. I let myself drown in the laughter of cheers and nostalgia that I had forgotten how much I disliked Matcha.

The party for our Kuya Danny’s 60th birthday was no different. Loud music, candles being blown out, kareoke, and a large variety of foods. I remember vividly — his daughter shared her gratitude for him, her gratefulness, and her love for him in a speech. It was extremely heartwarming in a way, the way two people can love each other so much that they can freely express it whilst holding a mic — talking infront of relatives and other people. It was not just extremely loving, but also special. A speech dedicated to your father and your father only — as if you were only talking to him, and not infront of a crowd of relatives.

That night, despite my whines and begging to go home due to my extreme tiredness, I was unfortunately declined due to the enjoyment my mom and aunt was having dancing with my other relatives. I remember clearly, the loud music and the talking, the juice and the leftover food, and the reminiscint goodbyes as we left.

When we went back to our hotel that night, all of us washed up and got changed into more comfortable clothing that we could sleep into. Collapsing onto our bed, we watched TV for a bit before ultimately deciding to go to sleep at around 11 pm due to the fact that we would have to get up at an early time (which was very unfortunate for me because i’m not a morning person).

That morning we woke up, we got ready,we packed up and left the hotel. Even then, the road back home was full of laughter and bringing up the memories we made these last few days. As I looked out of the window, I knew that this, was gonna be;

“My most unforgettable vacation.”
